あるいはわたしの心はあなたという王冠を戴いているので
王の疫病である追従を飲み干すということなのでしょうか？
それともこう言ったほうがよいでしょうか？わたしの目は真実を述べており
あなたへの愛がわたしの目にこの錬金術を教示したと、
すなわち対象物が視線にとらえられるや否や
化け物や混沌としたものから
あのように魅惑的なあなたにそっくりの天使たちを創り出し
あらゆる悪を完全な善に変えてしまうのだと、
おお！それは初めにすべきこと、見ることを通じて心に追従を伝えることです
わたしの偉大な心はいかにも王のようにそれを飲み干すのです
わたしの目はなにが心の味覚に合っているかを熟知しています
ですからそれは心の好みの味で飲み物を用意するのです、
もしそれに毒が入っていたとしてもそれほど重い罪ではないのです
なぜならわたしの目は追従を好み初めにそれを用意する役割を担っているからです。
