おお！わたしが不貞を働いたなどと言わないでください
あなたが不在の間わたしの愛の炎が弱まったように見えたとしても
わたしが自分自身を去ることはたやすくないでしょう
あなたの胸にあるわたしの心を去るのと同様に、
それはわたしの愛の本拠地だからです、旅するあの人のように
遊び歩いたとしてもわたしは戻ります
時間通りに、予定を変更したりはせずに
わたしの汚れをすすぐことができるように、
わたしの本性が　あらゆるタイプの人々を苦しめる誘惑に
支配されているとしても、信じないでください
それがそんなにも愚かに汚れて
この上なく素晴らしいあなたを去ってつまらない人のもとへ走るなどと、
わたしの薔薇よ、あなたがいなければこの広大な宇宙も空しいものです
そこではあなたがわたしの全てなのですから。
